Seller standards

Present the listing a buyer can understand

Minimum standards for identity, images, description, condition, provenance statements, availability and post-contact conduct.

Describe the actual item

Use current images of the item offered and disclose material defects, restorations, missing components, reproductions and uncertainty. Stock or reference imagery must be clearly identified and must not replace evidence of the actual item.

Claims need a basis

Maker, date, material, signature, provenance and authenticity claims must reflect the seller's actual knowledge and records. Phrases such as attributed to, in the manner of, believed to be and unknown must not be used to imply certainty.

Price and availability

The displayed price and availability must be current. Paid visibility does not change the seller's obligations and must not be presented as Collectorium verification or endorsement.

After inquiry or private offer contact

Respond without coercion, preserve the written record needed to resolve safety concerns and state payment, delivery, insurance, customs and return terms directly. Collectorium does not become the seller, escrow agent or shipping provider.

Corrections and removal

Correct material errors promptly and close unavailable listings. Collectorium may request correction, pause publication or remove content that cannot meet these standards.
